Book Plus Publication is obliged to ensure all its books are approved by the Editorial board before publication.
All the proposals should be submitted to the Review Committee through email to info@bookplus.co.in. The report of the Review Committee will be ratified by the concerned editorial department. The authors will be communicated about the acceptance of the proposal within three months from the day of receiving the proposal through email.
The proposal shall contain the following items: Synopsis – giving a brief idea of the project, theme, scope, rationale and emphasis in 500 words.
Outline of contents - a list of chapters including main subtitles of each, with an estimate of the number of words or printed pages in each chapter. For books written by a team or edited volumes the outline shall include the name and affiliation of the suggested author(s) for each chapter.
A covering letter or note
- setting out the details of: the author's suitability and motivation for pursuing the project; the proposed readership; the intended audience; the ways in which the proposed book fits in with and/or improves upon the existing books and information resources on the market; the manner in which the writing would be approached; any special points of style, structure or presentation; the proposed writing schedule and tentative date of completion; any plans for reprint/revision/successive editions of the book if any; for edited books a short note on the completion of the book.
A curriculum vitae
- containing the details of any relevant experience and a list of any previous publications (books and/or articles); for edited work details of each contributing author.
Other supporting materials
- this is not always essential, but if there are other materials that can be put forward to illustrate the proposed work the approach or demonstrate the author's previous writing experience, they can be helpful (e.g. draft chapters of the proposed book; list of competing titles, articles written by the author on the same or a similar topic, storyboards or demonstrators).
Undertaking
Manuscripts can only be considered for publication when the assurance has been given that the contents are original and are not plagiarized and the submitted texts have been neither published nor sent to another book with the intention of being published and that all authors have given their consent to the book’s publication. Further, he/she has not violated the Copyright issues on this.
